Gingival graft is used when around a tooth or several teeth gum “adherent” is deficient or is shifted, revealing a part of the root. An uncovered root of the front teeth is not esthetic when you smile; quite often it also causes tooth hypersensitivity. When a root is uncovered a sensation of pain can be caused by food which is too cold or too hot. We can overcome this problem by recreating the missing part of the gum.
